Diamondbacks Grand Slam grant recipient

​Chinle Planting Hope was chosen by the AZ Diamondbacks as a 2022 Ken Kendrick Grand Slam grant recipient this year! We are humbled, grateful and excited to partner with the AZ Diamondbacks! This extraordinary honor will greatly impact CPH and the development of our growing Community Center in Chinle.

It was a full few weeks…We found out CPH was a finalist a few weeks ago and our team had the opportunity to drive to Phoenix and present to the Diamondbacks Board. Bessie, Kathy, Alvira, Jan and Nicole presented our plans and passion for serving the Diné community. The Diamondbacks Board was kind and caring.
Kathy and Nicole then attended the Diamondbacks Gala event last weekend where we received the great news about the grant! We want to congratulate the other deserving community recipients too. Great job
Thank you Diamondbacks for caring about both the big cities and small rural communities in AZ. Thank you for supporting the work of CPH on the Navajo Nation! This very generous Diamondbacks grant will help create opportunities, employment and learning that will happen because of the bookmobile, bike shop, thrift store, community garden, playground and other CPH programs.
